From the Well
A Christ-Centered Path to Recovery and Renewal
You don’t find sobriety by trying harder. You find it by drawing from a deeper source.
From the Well isn’t a clinical manual or a step-by-step program. It’s a reflection on how compassion, grace, and community transform recovery from the inside out, written for anyone who has ever been thirsty for something deeper.
“Quitting drinking addressed the physical dependency, but it was Christ’s compassion that addressed the deeper thirst for identity, purpose, and healing.”
My recovery began the way so many transformations in Scripture begin, with thirst. In the Gospel of John, Jesus meets a woman at a well and offers her living water. He doesn’t shame her. He sees her, names the truth of her life, and offers her something new. I didn’t find sobriety by trying harder. I found it by drawing from a deeper source.
Who this book is for
It’s written for those who are sober, those who are trying to be, and those who love someone who’s struggling. And it’s written for pastors, leaders, and communities who want to understand addiction not just as a behavioral problem, but as a spiritual and relational wound.
If you are wondering whether change is possible for you, know this: what meets us on the other side of honesty is not condemnation, but grace.
